New Jackpot Weanling Class
The HBC Jackpot Weanling Class is a limited breeders stake for weanlings that will be shown in-hand. This class will be held annually in conjunction with the HBC Yearling Class. The class will be limited to weanlings sired by stallions that have paid their HBC eligibility dues and donated a service fee for the Jackpot class the year the mare is bred.
Funding for the Jackpot class is realized from the stallion service fees donated and sold at the HBC Service Auction. Also a stallion owner donating a breeding that sells at auction, may enter one additional foal from the entered stallion at no charge. Minimum bid at auction to purchase a donated breeding is $500. If a donated breeding does not sell at auction, the stallion owner has the option to buy the breeding at $500 and this will allow the stallion owner to show two foals. Buy the breeding at $250 and stallion owner can show one foal from his/her stallion. Only two foals per stallion are eligible for the Jackpot Weanling Class.

- The donor of a service fee that is sold at auction may also enter one foal at no cost.
Selling a service that has been purchased or donated is permitted, provided information is submitted to HBC detailing the transaction that took place.
Mares that do not get in foal or produce a live foal may move their eligibility to the following year, provided they notify the HBC in writing of the change. If eligibility is moved to the following year, the monies pertaining to that foal will also move to the following year.
Owners must be current members of the Haflinger Breeders Co-Op.
Distribution of the Prize money:
Each year, 100% of the funds raised, as detailed above, will be paid out to the eligible weanlings. A class entry fee will be charged to help cover the cost of judges and/or the facility. Payouts will be paid to the top 10 placings.
Prize money distribution and classes may be modified upon agreement by the HBC Board of Directors.
